On The Rim at Sunrise

Fred and Cyn on the edge...

Several days ago, we were staying near the edge of Copper Canyon in the little town of Areponapuchi.

We had enjoyed a great evening at Cabanas Diaz and I had told anyone who wanted that we could make an early walk to the rim to see the sunrise.

I awoke at 5:30 to a strong cold wind and lots of clouds…but something told me this might be a good sunrise morning.

Several people assembled, drank down some coffee and we headed off for the edge.

Sure enough when we got there, it was windy, cloudy…just an unpleasant morning.

But then a slit of orange appeared and a radiant sunrise ensued.

Wow!
