This Awesome Scary Spot in Copper Canyon

There are many precipitous edges in the Copper area- most of them remote and never seen by tourists. One area that is visited by most people who go to the canyons is in the Posada and Divisadero area. Now people visit there but it is never crowded- even during this week of Semana Santa.

The cliffs at Piedra Volada
The deal is that you can walk out on this cliff and the hop over to the large rock on the end where our photographer friend JP is standing- but it is not as easy as it looks. The canyon sweeps down below you for what seems like 1000s of feet. And the rock moves. As you move your feet it will rock back and forth and rumble a bit. I have been on that boulder once and never again.
Recently this sign went up as you walk toward Piedra Volada.
