Copper Canyon Train Trips…Not in June

This is the one month I try NOT to schedule trips. The Sierras are at the end of the long dry season- rains will start in a couple weeks or so. This month is usually hot, even up in the hills and the dust is hard to settle.

Once  the rains start in July, things green quickly…those 18 species of oak begin to grow and green up and the waterfalls flow. The pic below was taken in mid August last year.

CHEPE, the Copper Canyon train continues to run as always- its just not the most desirable time of year to go.
