Riding the Gondola in Copper Canyon

They are almost ready to open the new gondola (tirolesa) near Piedra Volada in the Divisadero area in Copper Canyon. I was there with our first “Blue Corn Express” culinary trip last week and we got a sneak preview. It is not actually open but they are taking school groups and odds and ends of people like us as the bugs are being worked out and as the last of the construction on the platforms and buildings is completed.

Leaving the upper station, we descend to the saddle as another car heads to the top.

The car approaches the lower station on the saddle.

Two "Blue Corn Express" guests at the saddle station.

Another great Copper Canyon train trip coming up…. « Authentic Adventures on the Copper Canyon Train

do you have the email of the company that operates this ride so we can contact them for a group?

No I don’t have the email. Reservations are not needed. Just show up at the gondola and it runs every half hour or so.
If you have a large group and are staying at a local hotel, have the hotel call the gondola office the day before.
