As Holy week approaches and the warmth of spring comes to Copper Canyon, the people flow increases. Still this huge area is not really crowded, but with limited facilities, it is smart to call ahead for hotels, the Copper Canyon train, etc.
It is also a good idea to reserve your spot for the zipline. Usually you can walk up and get your ticket for the gondola- they are $300 pesos ($25) and it goes and comes every 20 minutes or so- more often when things are busy.
The zipline is different. They have about 25 harnesses so there is a limit to the number of people. Groups usually form at 9a and 1p for orientation. The zipline experience covering all 7 stages takes about 2 hours and ends at the bottom of the gondola. The zip ticket costs $600 pesos ($50 USD) and it includes the gondola return ride.
It is best to call ahead for zipline tickets, The number is 635.589.6805.
