Mexico has numerous high quality bird watching areas and the places we travel to are among the best. There are the high jungles of Puebla. Then the valleys, highlands, and coastlands of Oaxaca. The varied environments of Veracruz offer so much – costal hills to jungles to alpine. Chiapas has varied environments as well and is simply a delightful historic place to travel. And of course Chihuahua and the famed Copper Canyon with its train are perfect for a birding tour. Look over our offerings on the pages that follow and then join us soon for a look at the birdlife in Mexico.
Another option for wildlife lovers is the amazing monarch butterfly reserves west of Mexico City. Best season for that is November through March…and we include several of the monarch migration areas.
