Where do you think “Aaaaah, Chihuahua!” came from…New Jersey?

On the train in Copper Canyon

Aaaah, Chihuahua! The falls above Cuiteco.

I tell people, “Get ready to “Aaaah” alot.”

Yet the experience there is almost always magically and hugely beyond what people expect or have ever experienced before. They say Copper Canyon is the greatest place the world has never heard of…so true!

The kids at the Tarahumara school in Cuiteco.

I tell people, “Get ready to laugh alot.”

The kids are a riot. There is always a joke (broma) at hand. The humor runs through almost every conversation. Copper Canyon is a land of delight…

I tell people, “Be ready to celebrate.”

It seems like there is some major holiday with a fiesta every time we are in Copper Canyon…even “Day of the Dead” is a party! So we kick back, break out some Tecate and sotol and do some dancin’.
